Ganadería Casa Gabino is a family farm in Portela - Narla (Friol) in the province of Lugo. This livestock was born more than 30 years ago and since then takes all this time producing milk. The first generation of House Gabino for 1978 began with the activity, it would be in 1988 when José María José Higinio and took over. Then in 2006, after finishing the ESO, Ivan joins work on the farm with their parents (this informal incorporating Ivan was not new as it always helped since childhood, always knew that was what I wanted to work) .
During these years it has changed a lot both on the premises and working method or the objectives of the operation as previously the same objectives as today. Chased In 2003 we started building a new barn (with parlor, automatic cleaning, camas..etc) and in July 2004 came the move to the new barn. That was the first big change, new facilities with a lot more comfort for both work and animals. And that was the first major objective, that the animals could be more comfortable and at the same time could work more comfortably.
The next step was to improve the genetic (Ivan was always in favor of having animals with good morphology and genetics) that is longest. Since Higinio Jose and Maria Jose over the farm and started to improve the genetics were made, but it was in 2009 when it began to select a little bulls that were used in the operation. In 2011 Auction Top animal-Bos joined and began working with embryo transfer. Now the goal is to keep working and improving day by day.
